Building a functional market in the Western Balkans must be accompanied by sustainable cooperation that brings the region closer to the European Union, VLEN says.

According to VLEN, the Berlin Process serves as a mechanism for turning regional cooperation into concrete results by reducing barriers for businesses, increasing investment, improving competitiveness and strengthening ties with European value chains.
The region has considerable economic potential, while the next challenge is to ensure that local companies are not limited to merely participating in production processes. They must increase the value they create, develop new technologies and products, and expand their presence in the European market.
As part of this commitment, Minister of Economy and Labour Besar Durmishi took part in an economic conference held in Budva as part of the Berlin Process. Discussions focused on consolidating the Regional Common Market and deepening the economic integration of the Western Balkans with the European Union.
