The VLEN coalition has rejected accusations made by BDI regarding infrastructure projects and the progress of work on Corridor 8, describing the former ruling party’s statements as a mixture of propaganda and speculation unsupported by facts.

In a statement, VLEN mocked BDI’s positions, which it said were filled with fabrications and a pronounced touch of comedy.
“All sorts of things come out of BDI’s propaganda kitchen! Their announcements do not merely invent events but reach the height of absurdity. Now they appear to have invented a new form of arithmetic as well, ‘4 plus 1.’ Figures surely put together in some corner of the party’s cafés,” VLEN said in its response.
The governing political force argued that BDI’s attacks over the construction work stem from frustration at its declining political influence. “Troubled by their new position in opposition and driven by deep despair, they began moving from one construction site to another, counting the excavators to see where the work was progressing better,” VLEN’s statement continued.
The ruling coalition called on BDI representatives to publish any written evidence they claim to possess to substantiate their statements, rather than engaging in public debate.
“Instead of making noise like empty pots and dragging NATO into their rhetoric, let them show a single document proving this ‘4 plus 1’ fairy tale,” the response emphasized.
Confirming the progress of activities on the ground, VLEN stressed that construction of Corridor 8 is proceeding according to a set schedule and remains one of the government’s main strategic objectives.
According to the coalition’s data, work is underway on 17 of the 31 kilometers of the Gostivar–Bukojçan section, while construction sites are also active along the Tetovo–Gostivar route and on other sections of this major project.
“Corridor 8 is a project of strategic importance and will be completed,” the statement said.
In closing, VLEN accused the former ruling party of failed governance during its terms in office and predicted a further erosion of BDI’s electoral base.
“You lied when you were in government, and now you are once again spreading slander from the opposition benches. Conduct an in-depth analysis, because you have already become a nuisance to the public. If you continue with this tune, you will disappear completely from the political scene,” the VLEN coalition concluded in its response.
