Following a meeting of the parliamentary group, LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku announced that the party was no longer seeking any position in government and would remain in opposition.
Former president and LDK MP Vjosa Osmani reacted after the party decided to give up all demands for inclusion in the government, including the position of president.

Osmani described the LDK’s stance as a move aimed at preventing new elections and resolving the institutional crisis.
She stressed that political responsibility should not be assessed solely through immediate interests, but also on the basis of the legacy left to future generations.

The Democratic League of Kosovo is not seeking any position or participation in government, with the aim of avoiding new elections and giving the country a President of the Republic who protects the Constitution and the country.
We are not here just for today. Above all, we are here for the generations that will come after us, and they should not judge us by the power we gained, but by the state we left them.
