A serious incident at the pool of a hotel in Santa Susanna, in Catalonia, has sparked strong reactions both in Spain and in the United Kingdom, after a 13-year-old girl was injured during the altercation.
The incident was recorded at a tourist resort on the Costa Brava, where, according to suspicions, everything began with an argument over the use of a sunbed and then quickly escalated from a verbal confrontation into a physical conflict among holidaymakers.

According to reports, one of the men involved in the fight struck the 13-year-old girl, causing injuries to her face and a broken nose. Videos shared on social media show moments of panic as tourists try to intervene to separate the sides, while children move away from the pool area in fear.
Furthermore, the situation spiraled even further out of control when other people became involved in the brawl, creating chaos on the hotel premises. For safety reasons, some guests were evacuated, while others were locked in their rooms.
The minor was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where she received the necessary medical treatment for the injuries she had suffered. After the incident, her family left the hotel.
Authorities in Catalonia have opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the incident, reviewing security camera footage and the statements of people who were there. As of now, no arrests have been reported.
