A 12-year-old boy in Brazil survived a serious accident involving a tractor-trailer, which was captured by security cameras.
The boy was riding his bicycle home after leaving school when he was struck by the truck as it was making a turn. The boy’s jacket became caught on the heavy vehicle, knocking him down and dragging him beneath several of its axles. His bicycle was thrown to the side, while the 12-year-old was dragged along the road.

After the accident, employees at a pharmacy near the scene immediately intervened and provided first aid.
Although it was initially reported that he had not suffered serious injuries, hospital examinations revealed a fracture in his left wrist, as well as several scrapes on his elbow. Because of the injury, he is expected to undergo surgery.
The driver did not remain at the scene of the accident. He said he had not realized that he had struck anyone and only learned about the incident after a friend sent him the video of the collision.
