Since yesterday, work has continued to extinguish a fire hotspot in the Administrative Unit of Ulëz, in the village of Lundër, an area that is part of the Ulëz–Shkopet Forest Economy.
The fire broke out on July 8, 2026, at around 14:00. Immediately after it was detected, the Municipality of Mat took all measures to intervene, despite the fact that the hotspot is located in a remote mountainous area with very difficult terrain, making direct intervention by firefighting vehicles impossible.
