The police have provided new details regarding the incident reported on Sunday evening (August 2) in Palasë, where it was alleged that shots were fired from a vessel.
Immediately after the report, the police say they pursued the vessel, making it possible to escort the 4 persons on board the yacht.

On board were four individuals, identified by the initials B.C., 31 years old, L.H., 31, A.K., 49, and P.Gj., 60, who were escorted by the police.
During checks carried out on the yacht and on the persons on board, no weapon or other illegal item was found.
“The investigative team continued further procedural actions, taking statements from persons with knowledge of the circumstances of the incident, and conducting expert examinations to determine additional factors of the shooting,” police announced.

Following the information provided yesterday evening, where around 9:00 p.m. a report was received that, at sea, off Palasë, shots were allegedly fired into the air from a vessel, we inform you that:
Immediately after receiving the report, the Border Police services, the Maritime Police Unit, Delta Force, the Himarë Police Commissariat/Dhërmi Police Station services, and units of the National Security Force (FKS) pursued the vessel by sea and land, as the yacht was moving towards Himarë.
As a result of swift police actions, it was possible to stop the yacht at sea, off Himarë, and escort it together with the persons on board, specifically the citizens B.C., 31, L.H., 31, A.K., 49, and P.Gj., 60.
Following the investigative and procedural actions carried out by the Himarë Police Commissariat, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, police services searched the yacht’s premises and the persons on board, where no illegal item or tool was found.
The investigative team continued further procedural actions, taking statements from persons with knowledge of the circumstances of the incident, and conducting expert examinations to determine additional factors of the shooting.
The investigative team, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, continues the investigation to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident, verify the information received, and legally document this case.
The procedural materials will be referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Vlora First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction for further actions.
