Famous singer Dua Lipa voiced criticism of Prime Minister Edi Rama’s government during the latest episode of her “Service95 Book Club” podcast, in which the guest was well-known Albanian writer Lea Ypi.

“We cannot talk about Albania’s history without talking about Albania today. It seems concerning to me that the government can change the environmental law without public consultation,” Dua said.

The singer of Albanian origin was referring to the amendment of law 21/2024 on construction in protected areas, which also affects the Vjosa-Narta lagoon, resulting in luxury construction in Zvërnec.
