A Colombian influencer has been shot dead in the middle of the street while sitting in her car waiting at a traffic light.

Police have arrested one suspect, but the motives behind this cold-blooded murder are still unknown.

Two people ambushed 27-year-old Angie Marcela Ramírez Vargas and shot her at close range as she was stopped at a traffic light next to a crowded shopping center in the city of Pitalito, in southern Colombia.

According to eyewitness accounts, a motorcycle with two people approached her vehicle, and the passenger fired shots at the young woman.

After the barrage of bullets, Angie’s car moved a few meters before she lost control of the vehicle, according to local media, including Caracol.

Police immediately cordoned off the area and launched an operation to capture the perpetrators. A 48-year-old man was arrested while hiding in shrubs and is suspected of being the shooter. The other suspect managed to flee on foot along the river path, and authorities are continuing the search to find him.
