Ulutaş Received by Hoxha as KFOR and Kosovo Police Reaffirm Security Cooperation

Kosovo Police Director General Colonel Gazmend Hoxha, together with his associates, received the commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Major General Özkan Ulutaş, and KFOR Deputy Commander Brigadier General Federico Collina at the institution’s headquarters in Pristina.

The meeting addressed ongoing cooperation on security issues and the activities carried out jointly by KFOR and the Kosovo Police. The parties underscored the need to maintain close coordination.

Representatives of both sides also reaffirmed their shared commitment to further deepening this cooperation.

Major General Özkan Ulutaş said the NATO mission would continue to work closely with local institutions, with the aim of ensuring a safe and secure environment for all citizens of Kosovo while acting impartially and transparently.

KFOR reiterated that it continues to fulfil its mandate stemming from United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999. The mandate provides for contributing to the maintenance of a safe and secure environment and guaranteeing freedom of movement for all citizens of Kosovo.

The statement said KFOR continues its close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), in line with their respective responsibilities as security responders.
