According to the investigation, the incident occurred on July 15, at around 1:30 p.m. The two women entered the jewellery store, claiming they were looking to buy jewellery, and asked an employee to show them several gold items.
While the employee was presenting the jewellery, they allegedly took advantage of her lack of attention to take four gold necklaces from the counter, which they then concealed in their bags.
After leaving the jewellery store, they were located by police and arrested yesterday in an apartment in Herceg Novi, following measures taken by the authorities.
The stolen jewellery was also recovered during the police operation and returned to the owners of the jewellery store.
Proceedings against the two suspects are ongoing, and they are expected to be held accountable for the criminal offence of theft.
