The demonstration, which drew an exceptionally large number of participants today, did not proceed peacefully, as police forces prevented protesters from approaching the boulevard near the Prime Minister’s Office.
Police used tear gas extensively, regardless of the presence of girls, families and children on the boulevard.
Meanwhile, protesters have dispersed into the streets of Tirana, with police continuing to follow them closely.
