The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed to “Fokus” that last night, shortly after midnight, two vehicles were set on fire in Skopje, including a car owned by lawyer Asmir Alispahiq.
According to the Interior Ministry’s statement, on 25.06.2026 at around 02:20 in the Butel area, it was reported that a “Passat” with Skopje plates, owned by A.A. (42) from Skopje, and a “Mercedes” with Veles plates, owned by M.M. (37) from Skopje, had been burned. An inspection team from the Skopje Internal Affairs Department went to the scene, and the case is under investigation.

Alispahiq, in a statement to “Fokus,” said the information was true, but added that he has no disagreements with anyone and does not suspect any person.
“Unfortunately, the information is accurate. I trust the institutions and their professional conduct. Because of the investigation, I cannot say anything, for anything contact the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
I have no misunderstandings with anyone, I do not suspect anyone, the motive and reason are unknown to me,” Alispahiq said.
He is a lawyer with many years of experience who has defended defendants in a large number of cases, some of which have attracted significant public interest.
