The reopening of the trial came after the presiding judge, Rrahman Beqiri, announced that Judge Vesel Ismajli would be replaced by Judge Donika Shala-Abdyli because he is approaching retirement. The news was reported by “Betimi për Drejtësi.”

Special Prosecutor Bekim Kodraliu said that the evidence collected, which will be examined during the trial, would show that the defendants had assisted the BIA and acted on its behalf.

According to Kodraliu, records of their entry into and departure from Serbia and return to Kosovo on the same day, documents, albums containing photographs from the Kosovo war, diagrams and prepared photographs—particularly the materials seized from Bedri Shabani’s possession—are expected to prove his attempt to link the Mollopolc hospital with the so-called “Yellow House” in Albania.

The prosecutor also said that, during the presentation of the evidence, it would be argued that Bedri Shabani, from an unspecified date until his arrest on 05.06.2024, assisted the BIA through Srgjan Rosiq by collecting and sending information, documents and books related to the Kosovo Liberation Army’s activities. According to the indictment, these actions were carried out through telephone communications and direct meetings with Srgjan Rosiq.

The indictment against Bedri Shabani and Muharrem Qerimi was filed by the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo (SPRK) on February 19, 2025. They are accused of passing the Serbian BIA information and documents about the Kosovo Liberation Army, its leaders and members, the Police, the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, the Kosovo Police Inspectorate, as well as about certain events and sites, including the Reçak massacre.

The SPRK alleges that the purpose of these actions was to incite a broad interethnic conflict in the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, create a false narrative linking the Kosovo Liberation Army’s Military Hospital with the so-called “Yellow House,” and cast doubt on the truth about the massacre as part of claims of organ trafficking.
