This morning in the Radhimë area of Vlora, a Finnish tourist in her 30s died after suffering serious health complications during a dive.

According to preliminary information, she was with a group of divers near the site of the sunken ship “Spitaliers.”
It is suspected that the tourist may have suffered from a lack of oxygen or another health problem during the dive.
After she began feeling unwell, the woman was immediately assisted by the other divers. They brought her to the surface and then rushed her to Vlora Regional Hospital.
According to hospital sources, she arrived in serious condition, experiencing breathing difficulties and showing signs of a severe complication. The tourist died upon arrival at the hospital as a result of the complications.
Another person who was accompanying her was also taken to Vlora Regional Hospital. He is conscious and is receiving treatment from medical staff.
The authorities have launched procedures to fully establish the circumstances surrounding the incident. Meanwhile, the exact cause of death is expected to be determined through a forensic examination.
