One person has died after a tourist bus caught fire on a California highway.
Police were notified at 5:38 a.m. about a bus that was burning on the side of the highway in the area of State Route 60. The flames started at the rear of the vehicle and spread to several rows of seats. According to preliminary information, the bus appeared to belong to the Mexican tour company Viajes Azteca.

Emergency crews arriving at the scene found one person dead, while the individual’s identity has not yet been made public. Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze before it engulfed the entire bus.
Photos released from the scene show that the rear of the vehicle was severely damaged. Because of the incident, traffic was halted on a section of the highway.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the fire, while the investigation is ongoing.
