Three minors detained in Skopje, suspected of starting fire in Gazi Baba

Three minors from Skopje were detained on 04.10.2026 by police officers from the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector, on suspicion of having started a fire in Gazi Baba Forest Park. The fire engulfed and burned dry grass.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the Fire Brigade intervened and localized the fire. After the case has been documented, the Gazi Baba Internal Affairs Unit at the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector will file criminal charges against the minors on reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “causing general danger,” as stipulated in Article 288 of the Criminal Code.
