The inspections found that the companies had failed to meet the criteria set out in the permits approved by environmental authorities. As a result, the entities “Gjikuria”, “Anchor Beton”, “Eral Construction Company” and “Beton Express 2018” were subjected to administrative punitive measures, consisting of work stoppages and fines.
IKMT stressed that, in the interest of the orderly development of the tourist season, it is calling on all operators working along the coast to comply with their legal obligations to protect the environment.
The institution underlined that it will continue on-site inspections and will not tolerate any violations of the legal framework in the construction, environment and forestry sectors.
