For the 59th consecutive evening, citizens gathered in opposition to the government and Prime Minister Edi Rama once again expressed a powerful and symbolic message.

On the space of “Martyrs of the Nation” Boulevard, opposite the Prime Minister’s Office, participants spelled out the word “RESIGN” (Resign) in giant letters, turning it into an emblem of the core demand of their movement.
Representatives and citizens involved in the protest emphasized that the call for the resignation of the head of government and the entire cabinet remains absolutely intact and is not up for negotiation.
Beyond the removal of the current government, the protesters support the formation of a 12-month technical government, which, in their conviction, would ensure conditions for a free and fair electoral process.
The giant inscription on the main road became the most iconic moment of that evening’s protest, summing up in a single word what those present have been insisting on for 59 days.
