Protesters called on citizens who are able to go to Police Station No. 6, where some of the protesters who were detained are being held.
Activist Arben Kola announced that citizens will gather again tomorrow in Skënderbej Square, at the same time as in previous days.
Today’s protest began in front of Parliament, where clashes with police broke out after protesters threw eggs at the vehicles of lawmakers.
Later, the protesters continued toward the Police Directorate and blocked several of the capital’s main roads.
About 20 people have been taken to police stations, while calls have been made for their support. Some protesters continue to remain outside the police stations, demanding the release of those detained.
Journalist Shpend Gashi and several other protesters have been released, while other activists are also expected to be released.
Citizens are demanding the resignation of the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama, which they accuse of corruption and mismanagement.
