Dermatologists advise how to apply it correctly, how often to reapply it, and why it should not be used near heat.
Spray sunscreen products are probably the easiest, fastest and most practical way to protect the skin from the sun’s rays. However, care is still needed when using them. They work the same way as other types of sunscreen, such as emulsions, gels, sticks and others, when it comes to protection from solar radiation. The main difference lies mostly in the texture and the method of application.

Most spray sunscreens are easily absorbed by the skin thanks to their light composition, do not leave greasy traces and, at the same time, are water-resistant. However, there are some tips worth knowing if sprays are your choice. Pay attention to the amount of spray you apply.
According to the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the amount of sunscreen an adult needs to fully cover the body is approximately the amount that can fit in the palm of the hand.
Since it is difficult to determine exactly how much spray you have applied to the skin, the rule is to spray until the skin starts to glisten. It is also important to remember that a bottle of spray sunscreen of about 150 ml is usually enough for approximately six applications.
Apply it thoroughly and evenly immediately after getting out of the sea.
To make sure you have not left any part of the body uncovered and that the sunscreen has been distributed evenly on the skin, apply it immediately after bathing. Do not forget to cover areas that are often overlooked or harder to reach, such as the ears, forehead, nose, soles of the feet and the area behind the knees.
Never apply spray sunscreen, or any other spray product, near heat or near anything flammable, such as candles, for example, or while smoking.
Although sunscreen is not considered a flammable material, it can become so when used in spray form. Therefore, make sure you are away from any possible source of danger.
Extra tip: Regardless of the type of sunscreen you use, do not forget to reapply it every two hours when you are outdoors, or immediately after swimming or excessive sweating.
