Oliver Spasovski, coordinator of the SDSM parliamentary group, accused the director of the Agency for the Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information, Petar Gajdov, casting doubt on the credibility of this institution.

According to the accusations, Gajdov used different declarations about his ethnic affiliation for professional advancement. When he was hired in 2020 as an assistant director, in a position reserved for candidates of Albanian nationality, he declared himself as Albanian. However, when running for the director’s post, he submitted a notarized declaration stating he was Macedonian.
Doubts have also been raised about legal violations and document forgery in the misdemeanor procedure conducted against Marija Miteva, current government spokesperson and former VMRO-DPMNE spokesperson.
It is suspected that the Misdemeanor Commission terminated the procedure against Miteva through a decision made under questionable circumstances.
One of the elements highlighted is that the minutes of the Commission meeting bear an earlier date than the notification sent to Miteva to give her statement on the matter.
The suspicions are further fueled by the written statements of Commission members whose names are recorded in the minutes. They claim they were not part of the meeting in question.
The accusations have raised questions about the legality of the procedures at the Agency, while accountability has been demanded for damaging the image of an institution that should guarantee transparency.
