The head of the Socialist Party’s Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, gave the first signal of possible cooperation with the opposition during yesterday’s plenary session.

In his speech, Balla said that the pace of Parliament’s work during this session must change, in line with the requirements of the negotiations process for membership in the European Union.
He announced that the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party had asked the government for the full list of bills that must be adopted during this session. According to him, the list would be officially forwarded to the opposition through the Minister for Parliamentary Relations.
The request was fulfilled at the end of the session, when Taulant Balla handed the Democratic Party’s parliamentary group the list of legal acts that must be aligned with European Union legislation.
The document contains 41 bills. They are expected to be reviewed first by the parliamentary committees and then voted on in Parliament, with the aim of advancing the process and closing the negotiation chapters.
