Six Charged with Participating in an Organized Criminal Group

The Special Prosecution Office of the Republic of Kosovo has filed an indictment with the Basic Court in Pristina against six people suspected of involvement in an organized criminal group and of committing several serious criminal offenses.

According to the SPO’s announcement, the indictment was filed against A.H., L.D., M.D., Q.E., A.G. and F.O. They are suspected of the criminal offense of “Participation in or Organization of an Organized Criminal Group,” in connection with “Preparatory Acts for Aggravated Murder,” “Coercion,” “Arson,” “Causing General Danger,” and “Unauthorized Ownership, Control or Possession of Weapons.”

According to the indictment, between July 2024 and January 2025, in Peja, the defendants acted as part of an organized criminal group. The group is suspected of having planned the murder of one person, as well as the wounding or killing of two others, with the aim of obtaining unlawful financial gain.

The accused are also charged with causing general danger, committing arson on the property of an injured party, and exerting pressure, coercion and threats against various individuals for unlawful financial gain.

The Special Prosecution Office has asked the court to hold a trial in absentia for A.H., who is on the run. It has also proposed the extension of detention for M.D. and L.D., as well as the confiscation of the seized weapons and ammunition.
