Greek media report that the perpetrator, a 32-year-old Romanian national, entered the victims’ home and, after breaking the window, stabbed his 32-year-old ex-wife and her 33-year-old partner, a Greek national of Albanian origin named Klevis Tite.
The woman was stabbed in the back and is in serious condition, while Klevis Tite sustained injuries to his hands and genital area and was taken to Asklipio Hospital.
The entire incident took place in front of the ex-couple’s two minor children, aged 1 and 2, who were taken away in a state of shock by psychologists.
She had reported the perpetrator at least five times for acts of violence and threats. She had even been given a “panic button” on her phone, a system that alerts law enforcement online whenever the person who has it is endangered by the individual they reported.
However, it appears that the perpetrator was determined to execute the victims, who are still alive by good fortune, as a resident who was parking his vehicle outside the home intervened to save them and also alerted the police, who arrived at the scene within two minutes. The perpetrator was arrested and will be brought before a court for a security measure.
