Bekim Sejdiu has responded following Prime Minister Kurti’s statements during a conference held today at the government.

In a statement to Infokus, Sejdiu said he had informed both Albin Kurti and the LDK of his decision to withdraw from the presidential race.
The deadline for electing the president expires at midnight tonight, in accordance with the Constitutional Court’s determination.
Kurti said that no talks are currently being held with any political entity on the matter, as the LDK does not have the votes needed to elect the president, while the PDK has refused to meet.
