The leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, met again on Saturday evening with the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, to discuss the election of the next president.

According to sources close to the matter, talks between the two politicians are being held on the premises of the Kosovo Assembly and are still ongoing.
The meeting comes just a few days after a previous meeting on Wednesday, when both sides said they had considered specific names that met the criteria agreed upon earlier.
However, after today’s meeting ended, Kurti did not provide many details, suggesting that a final agreement on a consensus candidate had still not been reached.
“As soon as we have results on our side, we will have news for you,” Kurti said briefly, signaling that the negotiating process is continuing.
