A change has been made at the head of the Port of Sarandë, as Admir Malaj has been removed from his position as director after less than a year in the post.
The management of the port institution has been entrusted to Gjergji Mërkuri, who will be responsible for continuing the work at the port.

Malaj was appointed director of the Port of Sarandë in July 2025, after being transferred from the leadership of the Port of Vlorë.
The reasons that led to his removal from the port’s leadership have not yet been officially made public.
