This Thursday, students gathered again outside the Ministry of Education, while police surrounded the building.
The young people began chanting against the government and the police, calling for Prime Minister Edi Rama to resign and accusing the police of protecting criminals rather than citizens.

“Down with the dictatorship, down with the patronage operatives!” “The students have arrived!” “Police, we’re right here—you protect criminals, not us!” and “Police of crime!” were among the chants heard during the protest.
The students also repeated the slogan “Rama in prison, Berisha in prison,” while their main demand remains resignation.
The protest is part of the student movement, which has continued for 17 days, with young people calling for change and opposing the way the government has responded to their protests.
