Prime Minister Edi Rama met with several parents of children with disabilities, with whom he discussed the establishment of a National Council and strengthening the role of teaching assistants.

During the conversation, Rama emphasized the importance of creating a special training scheme for these teachers. He also called for the possibility of additional financial support for them to be considered.
“A training system must be established, and the possibility of providing these teachers with additional financial support must be examined. They should receive a bonus on top of their salary,” Rama said.
Another proposal by the prime minister was the establishment of a consultative council that would meet regularly to address identified problems in a timely manner.
“We must organize a consultative council that meets at regular intervals and has a small secretariat—someone who can refer problems in real time,” Rama said.
