Rama’s message also included jokes about political developments in Italy, the role of women in power and relations with Europe.
Meloni responded to the Albanian prime minister, describing Albania as a valuable friend and partner. She also said that Rama knows how to combine irony with truths that are not always comfortable.
“Edi, my friend, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this video message. As always, you manage to combine irony with some not-so-comfortable truths!
I am pleased that, after the many changes of interlocutors in Rome, you have finally managed to develop a little more affection for the current one. Frequently changing the bench never helps you build something lasting. But once you find the right team, it becomes easier to play well and achieve results.
Over these years, we have built a sincere relationship and concrete cooperation, which have continually strengthened the bond between our two countries.
Albania is a valuable friend and partner. I am proud of the journey we are pursuing together, including within the framework of Europe. I embrace you warmly, and see you soon!” Meloni wrote.
