Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted on social media regarding progress in the negotiations for Albania’s membership in the European Union.

He announced that the country has closed the first chapter of the European integration process, stressing that this development improves opportunities for investment, innovation, competitiveness and employment.
“Albania closes the first chapter, and the countdown toward its historic goal begins.
The green light from the EU to close negotiations on Chapter 20 strengthens the prospects for investment, innovation, competitiveness and employment,” Rama wrote.
