On October 2, the Kosovo Government declared that the PDK’s initiative to amend the Law on Specialist Chambers faced no legal obstacles.
Nevertheless, the Assembly has still not approved the proposed amendments. The PDK has announced that it is making its support for the election of the president conditional on the approval of these amendments.
The constitutional deadline for electing the president expires on October 6.
