Protest Enters Its 83rd Day as Citizens Gather in Skanderbeg Square and Demand Rama’s Resignation

Citizens have begun gathering in Skanderbeg Square as protests against the government and the political establishment continue for the 83rd day.

Participants say they will not stop their revolt until Prime Minister Edi Rama steps down.

Although the protest has focused on Prime Minister Edi Rama and the government, the protesters’ dissatisfaction has also extended to the opposition.

For days, they have also criticized the opposition led by Sali Berisha and called for an end to what they regard as the old political establishment.
