The demonstration is expected to begin in Skanderbeg Square. From there, participants will march along the boulevard to the Prime Minister’s Office.
Once the protesters arrive outside the government building, speeches will be delivered during which citizens will voice their concerns and dissatisfaction with government policies.
Edi Rama’s removal from office remains the main demand. The protesters’ platform also calls for the establishment of a transitional government with a 12-month mandate, which would prepare the country for the upcoming elections.
Another demand is the repeal of several legislative initiatives which, according to the protesters, undermine the interests of Albanian citizens.
Organizers have announced that the demonstrations will continue in the coming days, stressing that they will not back down until their demands are met.
