From the square in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, speakers harshly criticized the government’s initiative to hand the country’s strategic assets over to a limited circle of businessmen, describing the move as a serious risk to state security.

During the extended rally, one of the citizens present spoke out against the so-called development plans, specifically mentioning the issue of the Port of Durrës and the plans to hand over the islands of Sazan and Zvërnec.
He focused on the way the prime minister conceals the transfer of public property behind the names of foreign investors, when in fact the beneficiaries are entrepreneurs with strong political connections.
“We are seeing with our own eyes the damage the prime minister intends to inflict on the nation’s assets. You must understand that he has devised a series of projects, all of which have failed, such as the destruction of the port for the benefit of the oligarchs! This is not about Alabbar, but about the oligarchs who meet with Edi Rama. He intends to hand over Zvërnec and Sazan, two strategically important points in the country that must be preserved for national defense, not given away! The executive is lying by putting forward several schemes supposedly aimed at development,” the protester said.
At the end of his remarks, the activist delivered a blunt message calling for a break with the old political elites and the creation of a genuine civic movement that would hold the government accountable.
“Let us achieve the broadest possible unity among Albanians, leaving out the main opposition leaders, while everyone else should be in the protest square! We need organization. Let us organize so that we can bring the Rama government to justice. Down with the Rama government!” he concluded.
