The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Gostivar has opened proceedings against four residents of the village of Dobërdoll, in the Municipality of Vrapçisht, following a criminal complaint filed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. They are suspected of committing the criminal offense of “Causing General Danger,” punishable under Article 288, Paragraph 3, in conjunction with Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.

The prosecution said the incident occurred on the evening of July 31, during a family celebration held in the yard of a house in the village. The suspects allegedly fired into the air with three pistols and a rifle whose make and caliber are unknown.
As a result of the use of firearms, the lives of many people attending the wedding were put at risk.
Due to circumstances indicating a possibility that each of them could flee, the public prosecutor asked the pretrial judge in Gostivar to order detention for all four suspects. One of them, in addition to North Macedonian citizenship, also holds Slovenian citizenship.
