The prosecution has announced that the uncle and nephew, along with a family relative, were involved in the shooting that took place today in Podujeva.
The serious case is being handled by the Basic Prosecution of Prishtina on suspicion of the criminal offense of “Aggravated murder in attempted form.”

Prishtina, 02 July 2026 – The Basic Prosecution in Prishtina – Department for Serious Crimes informs the public that today, at around 13:40, in the “Dëshmorët Boulevard” square in the Municipality of Podujeva, an armed clash occurred between three (3) persons. As a result of the gunfire, three (3) persons involved in the incident, as well as a случай passerby, suffered bodily injuries.
According to the initial investigation data, it is suspected that persons with family ties (nephew and uncle) were involved in this incident, while the suspected motive in this matter is linked to a prior dispute.
Immediately after the information was received from the Kosovo Police, the duty prosecutor from the Department for Serious Crimes went to the scene and, in cooperation with the relevant units of the Kosovo Police, all necessary investigative measures and actions were undertaken to fully clarify the circumstances of this case.
In relation to these actions, the suspects are being investigated for committing the criminal offense of “Aggravated murder in attempted form,” under Article 173 in conjunction with Article 28 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
Those wounded by gunfire were sent to the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (QKUK) to receive the necessary medical treatment.
The Basic Prosecution in Prishtina, in full coordination with the Kosovo Police, is continuing to undertake all necessary investigative actions to fully clarify the circumstances of this incident.
