The Office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo has announced that it has requested the relevant security institutions to verify the candidates proposed as members of the Central Election Commission.

The request was submitted after political entities presented their written proposals for the composition of the CEC.
The five-day deadline for submitting proposals ended on Friday.
The appointment procedure has not yet been concluded, as the Office of the President is awaiting responses from the competent institutions regarding the requested verifications.
Once these responses are received, the Office of the President will proceed with the necessary steps to finalize the appointment of the members of the Central Election Commission.
