PPO-Skopje seeks precautionary measures for three suspects in violence against a minor

A public prosecutor from the Skopje Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office today submitted a request to the preliminary proceedings judge at the Basic Criminal Court in Skopje to impose precautionary measures against three individuals suspected of committing violence against a child born in 2011, in a park in Maxhari.

According to the initial findings, the incident occurred on June 22, when the suspects took part in violent acts against the minor, attacking him with punches and kicks, and also inflicting cuts on his body with a knife.

The PPO said the proposed measures include a ban on leaving their place of residence or stay, an obligation to report periodically to a designated official or before a competent state authority, temporary confiscation of a travel document or another document for crossing the state border, a ban on going to the place where the criminal-legal incident occurred, as well as a ban on approaching or establishing any contact with the injured child and his parents.

At the same time, according to the PPO, forensic examinations of the secured traces are continuing, while other actions are also being taken with the aim of collecting evidence.
