Police operations in Vlora and Sarandë, four arrested over weapons and narcotics! Who are the young men taken into custody

In Vlora, E. O., 30, was arrested in flagrante delicto. The young man was reportedly caught in a parking lot near a venue in the Lungomare area, where a physical search found a handgun with six bullets, 2.18 grams of cocaine and 4.46 grams of cannabis sativa in his bag.

Meanwhile, three people were arrested in Sarandë: Ardit Cama, 30, a resident of Lukovë; Argjend Nanaj, 31, a resident of Lukovë, with a criminal record for narcotics and illegal possession of weapons; and Keldi Jovani, 26, a resident of Sarandë, with a criminal record in the field of narcotics.

The three suspects were caught in flagrante delicto on the Nivicë–Sarandë road, near the Kakome bridge, while traveling in two vehicles.

During a search of the vehicle driven by Argjend Nanaj, in which Ardit Cama was also present, police found and seized five kilograms of suspected cannabis sativa, which is suspected to have been transported for sale in Sarandë and Ksamil.

Preliminary investigations indicate that Keldi Jovani was traveling in the other vehicle to monitor the route and signal the presence of police services.

The Vlora Police have finalized two operations, codenamed “Security” and “Transporters,” over the past 24 hours as part of the fight against illegal possession of weapons and the distribution of narcotics. As a result of the operations, four people were arrested, while a handgun, approximately five kilograms of cannabis sativa, an amount of cocaine, six bullets and two vehicles were seized.

Meanwhile, in Sarandë, the “Transporters” operation was finalized following a three-week proactive investigation using special investigative methods, in cooperation between the Sarandë Police Commissariat, the Directorate of the Special Operational Force of the State Police General Directorate and the National Security Force.

Three people were arrested during the operation:

— A. N., 31, a resident of Lukovë, with a criminal record in the field of narcotics and for illegal possession of weapons;

— K. J., 26, a resident of Sarandë, with a criminal record in the field of narcotics;

— A. C., 30, a resident of Lukovë.

The three individuals were caught in flagrante delicto on the Nivicë–Sarandë road, near the Kakome bridge, while traveling in two vehicles. During a search of the vehicle driven by A. N., in which A. C. was also traveling, officers found and seized five kilograms of suspected cannabis sativa, which is suspected to have been transported for sale in Sarandë and Ksamil. Investigators suspect that K. J. was traveling in the other vehicle to monitor the route and signal the presence of police services. Investigations continue to fully document this criminal activity and identify other people involved. The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action,” the police said.
