Police maintaining order and security near the Special Court building in The Hague have asked citizens present to leave the building.
Through a voice announcement, authorities have stated that if those present do not comply with the order to leave, force will be used.
“The police order is to leave the Tribunal building, otherwise we will use force,” reads the police call.
This situation is happening just moments before the verdict is announced in the case against Thaçi, Veseli, Selimi and Krasniqi.
The Kosovo Specialist Chambers have confirmed that the verdict hearing is scheduled for today, September 16, at 10:00 local time in The Hague. The hearing will be public and will also be broadcast online.
The four former KLA leaders face charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity. They have denied these charges and pleaded not guilty.
