Among the banners displayed today, those featuring ironic and critical messages aimed at the government drew particular attention. “When Poliçan burns you, the whole nation burns you” and “Poliçan has men after all, but what are you waiting for?” read two of them.
Through these slogans, the protesters expressed their dissatisfaction with political developments and the way the country is being governed, while also calling for a public response.
The rally near the government headquarters has been taking place for 62 days, with participants demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, as well as changes to several government policies.
A day earlier, Poliçan joined the protest against the Socialist Party’s territorial reform proposal, which provides for the dissolution of the municipality and its merger with Berat.
