The first images from the scene of the accident in Greece show the devastating aftermath of the crash of one of two firefighting helicopters that collided in mid-air during an operation to extinguish the flames.

Preliminary information indicates that both helicopters had taken off from Eleusis military airport and were taking part in the operation to combat the large fire in the area.
According to the latest information, two people have been killed, while two others sustained minor injuries.
Authorities said that the pilots of both aircraft are Romanian nationals, while the flight coordinators are Greek. The helicopters had been leased by the Fire Department, and each had a two-person crew on board.
