PDK, led by Bedri Hamza, announced that it would boycott the session following developments related to the election of the deputy speakers of the Assembly and the temporary withdrawal of Vlora Çitaku’s candidacy.

The party also announced that it would turn to the Constitutional Court over the latest developments.

The Alliance also confirmed that it would not participate in the 14:00 session. Its deputy, Burim Ramadani, said the political entity would not be present in the Assembly chamber because it considers the process unconstitutional.

“We consider this process unconstitutional and will turn to the Constitutional Court,” Ramadani wrote.

According to him, on June 26 the Alliance had proposed a six-point agreement aimed at finding a political solution and contributing to stability.

“We offered an agreement. They chose arrogance. We offered a solution. They chose crisis,” Ramadani said.

He said the Alliance’s offer had been rejected and that the situation that has emerged is steering Kosovo toward a new political crisis.

“The Alliance chose Kosovo. They chose power and positions,” Ramadani wrote.

AAK has also maintained the same position regarding participation in the session.
