The Police Oversight Agency has arrested an officer of the Dibër Police, as he is suspected of failing to carry out investigative and procedural actions after a person who was under the security measure of “house arrest” and was in the process of being extradited to Germany left.
M.G., 32, a Crime Investigation specialist at the Dibër Police Station, is suspected of the criminal offense of “abuse of office,” provided for under Article 248 of the Penal Code.

According to the official PAMS statement, his detention was carried out in the presence of the duty prosecutor.
The investigation found that the officer is suspected of not having taken the necessary investigative and procedural actions regarding the departure of citizen Amir Muaremi from the home where he was being held under the security measure of “house arrest,” while the procedural materials have been forwarded to the Prosecution for further action.
