She raised the question of how it is possible to defend them in The Hague at a time when the institutions are not functioning and the country may enter an electoral process.
“And how do you expect to defend them in The Hague, without a president and during an election campaign?” Pacolli wrote.
According to her, political opponents are exploiting the issue of the former KLA leaders for electoral interests.
“Who are they trying to defend this way? Because as for those in The Hague, they are not defending them at all—they are exploiting them for the campaign,” she said.
The minister stressed that the attempt to equate the political fate of a party with the historical fate of the KLA constitutes an abuse of the war for narrow party interests.

Pacolli reiterated her opposition to the Special Court, stressing that she has been and remains against it.
“We have been and remain against this Court,” Pacolli stressed.
As the best way to defend the KLA leaders in The Hague, she cited making Kosovo’s institutions functional and institutional cooperation to defend the liberation war.
“The best way to defend the KLA leaders in The Hague is to make Kosovo’s institutions functional and work together to defend Kosovo’s liberation war, which was just and pure,” she concluded.
