According to him, the funds were European Union financing for the Kriva Palanka–Bulgarian border railway section, which is part of Corridor VIII. The funds were lost after the government failed to sign the contract within the specified deadline.
Osmani stressed that Corridor VIII is of strategic importance for NATO military mobility.
He said that any obstacle to this corridor undermines NATO’s interests while simultaneously serving Russian interests in the region. /Telegrafi/
