Opposition lights flares, majority ends debate and moves to vote! Peleshi expels four Democratic Party MPs

Amid tensions and clashes, the majority has ended the debate and moved the bills to a vote. This followed a situation that developed inside parliament after opposition MPs blocked the lectern and lit flares.

Parliament Speaker Niko Peleshi also expelled MPs Bledi Himci, Ivi Kaso, Bledion Nallbati and Xhelal Mziu from the plenary session.

The session was dominated by tensions and clashes from the outset, after the opposition blocked the lectern, preventing proceedings from taking place normally.

PD MPs stood in front of the lectern throughout, while the Guard also intervened at several points.
