Turnover in North Macedonia’s industrial sector increased by 2.7 percent in July compared with the same month last year. However, compared with June this year, it fell by 8.5 percent.

According to data from the State Statistical Office, year-on-year growth was recorded in intermediate goods, except energy, at 6.2%, as well as in non-durable consumer goods, at 11.7%. Meanwhile, capital goods fell by 6.3%, while durable consumer goods decreased by 2.9%.
The data also show that turnover in the domestic market increased by 8.5 percent over the year, while growth in the foreign market stood at 1.9 percent.
The highest annual growth was recorded in tobacco manufacturing, at 186.3%, while the largest decline was registered in the manufacture of other transport equipment, at 25.3%.
